After my post earlier this morning I decided to do something else to avoid getting too sad. Most of my stuff from New York hasn’t made yet so I can’t do much more in unpacking. Before I left my friends were telling me about a website called SoundCloud. Usually, I stick to listening to music on my phone, but to satisfy my curiosity, I figured I could check it out as I relax today.
From exploring the website, I was excited by the vast collection of music found on it. I humored myself and typed in ‘Gaelic music’ in the search bar. What surprised me was the tag #Irish Dubstep for the first song that popped up called ‘Gaelic Storm.’ I listened to it, and I enjoyed it a lot. After some more random searching, I made a playlist for myself that is a potluck of different songs. There isn’t a lot at the moment, but I plan on adding more later on. For those curious about my preferred music genres, they are country, instrumental, dubstep, rock, swing, and jazz.
